You?
A corporate branding agency in Melbourne for law firms, accountants and financial advisers that have outgrown the brand they started with.
Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, working with firms Australia-wide.
Every firm says trusted, experienced and client-first. So nobody hears it.
Your clients buy expertise they cannot easily judge, so the brand does a lot of the judging for them. When every firm leads with the same blue, the same handshake photo and the same three adjectives, the choice falls back to fees, or to who knew someone. A clear position gives clients a better reason than either. That is the work: a reason to choose you that your partners can say out loud.
Built for firms where the firm is the product.
Law firms
A practice that started as one partner's name often grows into something bigger: more partners, new practice areas, a different kind of client. The brand still describes the first version. We help the partners decide what the firm wants to be known for and who it is for, which is hard because it means choosing. Then we build the identity, the voice and the website that make the choice obvious, inside what your profession lets you claim. That limit usually helps: the brand has to show rather than boast.
- Positioning by practice area, client type or way of working
- Naming and brand architecture when partners, offices or practice groups need structure
- Proposal, letterhead and pitch templates your people use
- A website that explains what you do before a prospective client calls
Do you work with law firms?
Yes. For a law firm the trigger is usually the practice outgrowing its name, its partners or its first idea of who it is for. We help the partners decide the position, then build the identity, templates and website around it. Everything we write sits inside what your profession allows you to say.
Accounting firms and auditors
Accounting is a crowded room. Most firms look and sound the same, so clients compare on price. A position changes the comparison. For Assurify, that meant positioning an SMSF auditor on a tech-led approach that streamlines compliance and builds long-term partnerships. For Illumin8, a firm reimagining accounting, the work ran from an award-winning marketing campaign to a website with custom animation and illustration.
- Positioning against the firms your clients compare you with
- Identity and voice that make a technical service feel human
- Brand architecture for advisory, tax, audit and new service lines
- Webflow website design and build
Isn't a brand just a logo and a website for an accounting firm?
It is the reason a client picks you over the firm down the road when the fees are close. For most practices the brand is the partners, the proposal and the first phone call. We make sure all three tell the same story.
Financial services and advisers
Lenders, wealth advisers and holding groups ask people to trust them with money. A generic brand makes that a harder ask. Spread Asset Finance shows the chairs, coffee grinders and trucks it finances, where other lenders show a handshake. For Benchmark Consolidated, a holdings firm with a big vision, we built the identity and the digital presence to match.
- Positioning and narrative for advisers, lenders and holding companies
- Naming and brand architecture for groups, divisions and new entities
- Identity systems that hold up across reports, decks and regulated documents
- Websites that turn a referral into an enquiry
Which financial services clients have you worked with?
Spread Asset Finance in asset finance, Benchmark Consolidated, a holdings group, and Assurify in SMSF audit. Suppliers, manufacturers and the trades are on our B2B branding page.
Corporate Brand Audit & Strategy
The strategic core. We map the firms your clients compare you with, hear from the partners, staff and clients who know the business best, and define the position you can own and the story that holds it. For Assurify, that meant positioning an SMSF auditor on a tech-led approach that streamlines compliance and builds long-term partnerships.
- Brand audit and stakeholder interviews
- Positioning and category strategy
- Brand narrative and messaging framework
- Brand architecture for groups, divisions and subsidiaries
- Naming, if the name is the problem
What is a corporate brand audit?
A structured read of where the brand stands before anyone designs anything: how clients and staff describe the firm, how it compares with the firms it competes against, and how every touchpoint reads, from the website to the proposal template. Two weeks, one working session, and a short document with a clear call: leave it, refresh it or rebuild it.
Identity, Voice & Corporate Communications
Strategy becomes a system: logo, type, colour, photography, voice and the templates your people use every day. In a corporate brand the proposal, the pitch deck and the email signature carry the brand further than any campaign, so we design them as part of the identity. Spread Asset Finance shows the chairs, coffee grinders and trucks it finances, where other lenders show a handshake.
- Logo, typography and colour
- Verbal identity: voice, tone and messaging
- Brand guidelines and design systems
- Proposal, report and presentation templates
- Photography and illustration direction
What is brand architecture, and do we need it?
Brand architecture is how a group’s brands relate to each other: one master brand, a family of sub-brands, or separate brands under a holding company. You need it as soon as you have more than one service line, division or entity with its own name. Our brand architecture page goes further.
Website, Rollout & Adoption
A corporate rebrand only counts when it lands, and it lands inside first. We plan the rollout with your leadership team, launch to staff before clients, then carry the brand across the website, documents, signage and digital channels. For Illumin8, an accounting firm, the work ran from an award-winning marketing campaign to a website with custom animation and illustration. We are a Webflow Premium Partner.
- Webflow website design and development
- Internal launch, training and brand toolkit
- Rollout across documents, signage and digital
- Website handover and team training
How do you roll out a corporate rebrand?
In order: leadership, then staff, then clients. Your team meets the brand, the reasons for it and the templates before a client sees it, because a client will ask them about it. Then the rollout runs by priority: the website and the documents clients see most, then signage, then everything else as it is reprinted. We plan it from the start, so the cost of implementation does not surprise anyone.
A clear process for a corporate brand your whole firm can stand behind.
Audit & Diagnose
Your clients’ view, your staff’s view and the firms you compete with. The honest answer to leave, refresh or rebuild.
Position & Strategise
The position you can own, the story behind it and the structure for every division. Leadership in the room, because this is a business decision.
Design the System
Identity, voice and templates, every decision tied to the position and tested on the documents your people use every day.
Build & Roll Out
Website, documents, signage, digital. Staff meet the brand before clients do.
Steward
Brands drift. We stay on for the new service line, the acquisition and the next office.
Starting prices, + GST, scoped to the size of the firm and how far the brand has to reach.
- Brand Audit (two weeks): competitor map, perception read, positioning options, a recommendation with a price for each path. The audit fee comes off the strategy fee if you go on.
- Brand Strategy (from AUD 5,000 + GST): positioning, purpose, audience mapping and brand narrative.
- Brand Identity Design (from AUD 10,000 + GST): the visual and verbal system on a strategic foundation, with guidelines.
- Full Brand: strategy and identity end to end, for a business repositioning for growth or a group bringing several names under one.
Implementation (website, documents, signage, print) usually costs as much again as the brand work, so we scope it from the start rather than letting it surprise you. Get in touch to find out where yours lands.
Corporate branding is the brand of the company itself: what the firm stands for, how it looks and sounds, and how it behaves with clients, staff, investors and regulators. It sits above the brands of individual products or services. For a professional services firm it is often the only brand there is, because the firm is the product.
Law firms, accounting and audit practices, financial advisers, lenders, holding companies and groups. Assurify, Spread Asset Finance, Illumin8 and Benchmark Consolidated are among them. Suppliers, manufacturers and the trades are on our B2B branding page.
Most full projects run 12 to 20 weeks from kick-off to final delivery. A typical 16-week project:
- Weeks 1–3, Discovery and Research: stakeholder interviews and workshops, market and competitor analysis, audience research.
- Weeks 4–6, Strategy: positioning and differentiation, messaging framework and brand platform.
- Weeks 7–10, Identity Design: logo and visual identity, design system, application across touchpoints.
- Weeks 11–14, Refinement and Guidelines: refinement, brand guidelines and toolkit, templates.
- Weeks 15–16, Handover and Support: final delivery, team training and launch planning.
More stakeholders mean more time: a firm with several partners or divisions should plan for the longer end. Rush projects can be done; they usually give up depth of strategy, and strategy is the part you cannot add later.
By deciding the strategy before anyone sees a logo. Partners and directors are interviewed early, the positioning is agreed in a workshop, and every design decision after that is judged against it rather than against personal taste. It makes the design conversation shorter, and it gives the people who were not in the room a reason to back the result.
It depends on the state of the brand. You likely need a full rebrand if the positioning no longer reflects where the firm is going, you have outgrown your original market or changed what you sell, or the identity creates confusion next to the firms you compete with. You likely need a refresh if the position is strong but the visuals look tired, and you are evolving rather than changing direction.
Not sure? That is what the audit is for. Our rebranding page sets out refresh, partial and full rebrands side by side.
