You?
A technology branding agency from Melbourne for software, platforms and tech-led businesses.
Most tech brands describe the product. The ones that grow describe the change.
A buyer gives a new product a few seconds to make sense, and a list of features does not. A brand with a position says what is different once the product is in the world, in words a customer can repeat to a colleague. Bryx brought new technology to property investment, and the brand said what for: a more democratic way into the market.
Tech Brand Audit & Strategy
Launching or outgrown the brand you launched with, we map the products your buyers compare you with, hear from your founders and your best customers, and find the position you can own, in customer language. Assurify put a tech-led approach to SMSF audit in front of accountants as streamlined compliance and a long-term partnership.
- Competitor and category mapping
- Positioning and brand narrative
- Brand architecture for products, tiers and a parent company
- Naming for a product, a feature or the company
What does the brand audit cover?
How your buyers see you against your competitors, how the brand reads from the search result to the onboarding email, and what your team says you stand for. Two weeks, one working session, and a clear call: leave it, refresh it or rebuild it.
Naming, Identity & Motion
A system the product team uses without us: name, logo, type, colour, motion and voice, on a screen, in an app store and on a deck. Tech brands move, so we design the motion with the mark. Spread’s dynamic logo opens to show the things it finances; Bryx’s wordmark scales from an icon to cropped letterforms across a hoarding, with an animated icon set for the product.
- Naming and verbal identity
- Logo, typography and colour
- Motion and logo animation
- Icon systems and design tokens
Can the brand and the product UI share a system?
They should. We hand over tokens for colour, type and spacing and work with your product designers, so the site and the app look like the same company.
Launch, Campaigns & Content
A tech brand is built between releases. We design the launch, the campaign that explains the change, and the content that answers what buyers search for before they book a demo. Illumin8 reimagined accounting with an award-winning campaign and a site of hand-drawn illustration and 8-bit icons.
- Launch and campaign design
- Content strategy and editorial templates
- LinkedIn and social templates
- Search, Google Ads and lead tracking
Do you run the marketing as well as design it?
Yes. Our marketing team runs search, Google Ads and content with lead tracking, so you know what the brand is earning.
Websites & Product Marketing
The website is the product’s first demo. We design and build in Webflow, so your team ships pages as fast as features, with the explainers, pricing signals and sign-up paths that turn a visit into a trial. Assurify, Bryx, Spread and Illumin8 all launched new sites with their brands. We are a Webflow Premium Partner and Google Ads Partners.
- Webflow website design and development
- Product, feature and pricing page systems
- Sign-up, trial and demo flows
- Conversion rate optimisation after launch
Do you build the website too?
Yes. The team that sets the strategy builds the site, so nothing is lost in a handover.
A clear process for a technology brand that keeps up with the product.
Audit & Diagnose
Your competitors, your customers’ view, your founders’ view, and the honest call: leave, refresh or rebuild.
Position & Strategise
The change you stand for and the story that holds it, in customer language, agreed with the founders.
Design the System
Name, identity, motion and tokens, tested on a landing page and in the product.
Build & Roll Out
Website, product UI handover, launch, campaign. The team meets the brand before customers do.
Steward
Products ship weekly. We stay on for the next feature, the next raise and the next market.
Starting prices, + GST, scoped to the stage of the company and what the brand has to cover.
- Brand Audit (two weeks): competitor map, perception read, positioning options, a recommendation with a price for each path. The audit fee comes off the strategy fee if you go on.
- Brand Strategy (from AUD 5,000 + GST): positioning, purpose, audience mapping and brand narrative.
- Brand Identity Design (from AUD 10,000 + GST): the visual and verbal system on a strategic foundation, with guidelines.
- Full Brand: strategy and identity end to end, for a business repositioning for growth or a group bringing several names under one.
The website, launch and product handover are scoped from the start. Get in touch to find out where yours lands.
It helps you answer three questions and apply the answers everywhere.
- Who are we? The idea the business stands for.
- What makes us different? The position that separates you from the products your buyers shortlist.
- How do we say it? The identity and system that carry it, from the website to the product.
In practice: brand strategy, naming, identity, a website and the launch. Here is how our brand strategy works.
Yes. The name has to say the position, survive a trademark and domain check, and sound right in a sentence a customer would say. See naming.
Most full projects run 8 to 16 weeks from kick-off to final delivery.
- Weeks 1–3, Discovery and Research: stakeholder interviews and workshops, market and competitor analysis, audience research.
- Weeks 4–6, Strategy: positioning and differentiation, messaging framework and brand platform.
- Weeks 7–10, Identity Design: logo and visual identity, design system, application across touchpoints.
- Weeks 11–14, Refinement and Guidelines: refinement, brand guidelines and toolkit, templates.
- Weeks 15–16, Handover and Support: final delivery, team training and launch planning.
Give us the launch date and we plan backwards from it. The website is built alongside the identity once the position is agreed.
It depends on your goals and the state of the brand. You likely need a full rebrand if:
- your positioning no longer reflects who you are or where you are going
- you have outgrown your original market or changed what you sell
- the brand creates confusion or fails to differentiate
- the visual identity looks dated next to the businesses you compete with
- the people who run the business struggle to explain what makes it different
You likely need a brand refresh if:
- the core positioning is strong but the visuals look tired
- you are evolving, not changing direction
- the guidelines lack consistency or do not scale
- the messaging needs tightening, not rethinking
Not sure? That is what the audit is for. It tells you which of these you are, and what each path would cost.
Yes. Our studio is in Mornington and we work across Melbourne and nationally, in person or online. Most tech businesses sell everywhere.
